Gujarat Nature Tour 2008 Centre for Environment Education (CEE) offers an exciting 9 -day wildlife & Nature Tour to Gujarat, one of the most cultural and the ancient states of the Asian Sub-continent, in India.

Highlights Natural History presentations/ audio-visuals; visit & stay at sanctuaries; meet with Forest officials; wildlife viewing & bird-watching; visit villages for a sense of the local culture and cuisine; enjoy the scenic beauty of the grasslands, wetlands and marine ecosystems. Visit CEE project sites and see ongoing conservation and development work. Located at the western most tip of India, the state of Gujarat is home to some of the world's rarest wildlife species. On a visit to the wildlife sanctuaries of Gujarat, one can possibly view the Asiatic Lion of Gir, the Indian Onager or the Wild Ass, the Great Indian Bustard, the four horned antelope, the black buck and the dugong. The tour is also an opportunity to experience the old world charm of Gujarat at the step wells of Adalaj and other sites of historical and cultural significance.

Costs and Conditions Cost of the tour package from Ahmedabad airport and back to airport: Adults $2385 (inc GST), Children under 14 $ 1400 (inc GST). Payments by cheque or money order to CEE Australia PO Box 42 Lindfield NSW 2070 Australia. Costs is based on twin sharing basis. (*Costs may vary)

Costs include: The whole tour package to and fro form Ahmedabad Airport, including all the transfers, covers the following:

» 02 nights in Ahmedabad in a hotel (Bed & Breakfast) » 04 nights stay at resorts/ hotel across Gujarat (all meals included) » 03 nights in a resort at Gir Lion Sanctuary at Sasan Gir, Rann Riders at the Wild Ass Sanctuary (all meals included) » Sanctuary entry permits (individual charges may be applicable for commercial video/ filming equipment etc) » All the sanctuaries in Gujarat including bird watching » Surface transportation; State road taxes and toll fees » Experienced Naturalists and Escort Officers; Camp Assistants » Emergency medical aid » Audio-visual presentations » Arranging meetings with relevant people – Park management and staff, other relevant persons » All meals

Cancellations and Refunds Cancellation 60 days or earlier before the date of tour – 80% of advance deposit will be refunded. Cancellation 30-59 days before the tour date– 50% of advance deposit will be refunded. Cancellation less than 30 days before date of tour – no refund. If minimum numbers are not met, CEE has the right to cancel the tour.

Alterations in Programme and Cost Increases Changes in itinerary may occur even though the camp programme is carefully planned. If major changes are necessary before start of the camp, participants will be informed and may withdraw without loss of deposit, if they choose. While costing camps well in advance, we try to absorb rise in costs if any. If for reasons beyond our control, greater increases are necessary, we will notify participants in advance and request them to bear the incremental cost for the item concerned.
