The Corbett Tour
Centre for Environment Education (CEE) offers an exciting 10-day wildlife tour
to the Corbett National Park and the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary in India. |
Highlights
Natural History presentations/ audio-visuals; forest drives, elephant rides, nature
trails; interactions with Park officials; wildlife viewing & bird-watching; trekking
in villages to observe local mountain culture and lifestyles; exploring flora, fauna;
observing local history, culture and legends; enjoying the scenic beauty of Indian
sub-Himalayan foothill forests (terai) & grasslands; visits to project sites/ schools
to observe CEE's ongoing environment education and eco-development work. |

The Indian terai is home to the tiger, leopard, elephant, several species of deer,
antelope, jackal, snakes including cobra & python, sloth bear, monkeys; over 600
bird species; rich invertebrate life; hill rivers have excellent trout, besides
crocodile, turtles. Both Corbett & Binsar sanctuaries offer the thrill of wildlife
sightings during morning & afternoon drives/ elephant rides into the forest, and
on foot trails (in permitted zones). The sanctuaries are located in the foothills
of the Western Himalayas, and cover an altitude range of 250 - 1000 metres above
sea level. Both parks are in Uttaranchal (A new state of India, established in 1999). |

Costs and Conditions
Cost of the tour package from Delhi airport.
Adults $2999 (inc GST), Children under 14 $ 1999 (inc GST). Payments by cheque or
money order to CEE Australia PO Box 62 Gordon NSW 2072 Australia. Costs is based
on twin sharing basis. |

Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation 60 days or earlier before the date of tour -80% of advance deposit
will be refunded. Cancellation 30-59 days before the tour date -50% of advance
deposit will be refunded. Cancellation less than 30 days before date of tour -
no refund.
If minimum numbers are not met, CEE has the right to cancel the tour. |
Alterations in Programme and Cost Increases
Changes in itinerary may occur even though the camp programme is carefully planned.
If major changes are necessary before start of the camp, participants will be informed
and may withdraw without loss of deposit, if they choose. While costing camps well
in advance, we try to absorb rise in costs if any. If for reasons beyond our control,
greater increases are necessary, we will notify participants in advance and request
them to bear the incremental cost for the item concerned.
