CEE Australia India Nature Tour

Karnataka Nature Tour 2007 Centre for Environment Education (CEE) offers an exciting 10-day tour to various heritage sites, Nagarhole and Bandipur Wild Life sanctuary and to Ranganthittu Bird sanctuary in Karnataka state of India.

Highlights The tour offers forest safaris, elephant rides, interaction with park officials, wildlife viewing, bird watching, trekking in villages to observe local mountain culture and legends. Exploring the flora and fauna diversity of the region. Enjoying the scenic beauty of Indian foothill forests & grasslands. Visits to project sites to observe CEE's ongoing environment education and eco-development work. One will also catch a glimpse of the tiger, leopard, elephant, deer, antelope, jackal, and snakes at the Nagarhole and Bandipur wild life sanctuaries. The open-bill stork, white ibis, egret, heron can be seen at the Ranganthittu bird sanctuary. One can also visit the temple cities of Belur and Halebid, famous for their intricate carvings and scrollwork on the walls. Some of the striking features of these temples are the huge ornamental doorways and the outer walls of the temple, which tell us the story of great mythological epics such as Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavata. The tour also offers a chance to visit the Mysore Palace, famous for it's of exquisite carvings and the variety of works of art from all over the world.

Costs and Conditions Cost of the tour package from Bangalore airport and back to airport: Adults $2385 (inc GST), Children under 14 $ 1400 (inc GST). Payments by cheque or money order to CEE Australia PO Box 42 Lindfield NSW 2070 Australia. Costs is based on twin sharing basis. (*Costs may vary)

Cancellations and Refunds Cancellation 60 days or earlier before the date of tour - 80% of advance deposit will be refunded. Cancellation 30-59 days before the tour date -50% of advance deposit will be refunded. Cancellation less than 30 days before date of tour - no refund. If minimum numbers are not met, CEE has the right to cancel the tour.

Alterations in Programme and Cost Increases Changes in itinerary may occur even though the camp programme is carefully planned. If major changes are necessary before start of the camp, participants will be informed and may withdraw without loss of deposit, if they choose. While costing camps well in advance, we try to absorb rise in costs if any. If for reasons beyond our control, greater increases are necessary, we will notify participants in advance and request them to bear the incremental cost for the item concerned.
